M. FERRELL Ministries

Bishop's Bio
Bishop Michael Ferrell, so fondly called the “preaching machine” is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. His career aspirations led him to Saint Augustine College to enter their pre-med program. Unbeknownst to him God had a greater call on his life and challenged him to leave his childhood dream of becoming a heart specialist in the natural and called him to be a spiritual heart specialist to advance the Kingdom of God. Nevertheless due to his advocacy for education and his drive for excellence in ministry, he continued his educational pursuits by going on to receive an Associate’s degree in Biblical Counseling, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mental Health. He also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate degree. He is currently pursuing a 2nd Doctorate degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology.
At the tender age of 14, Bishop’s flare for ministry ignited when he began to feel the call to preach, and at 19 that he answered that call. As he grew in the Lord, Bishop Ferrell was a very humble and faithful servant in the church. He served on various ministries such as the transportation ministry as a van driver, an usher, drummer and choir director to name a few. He exemplified the belief that whatever his hands found to do that is exactly what he did.
In a very short period of time Bishop’s ministry began to flourish. He began to spread his wings in ministry through outreach and evangelism. His ministries extended far beyond the traditional church structure although his affiliations has lead him to be a part of prominent organizations such as the Church of God in Christ and Bibleway. He has ministered effectively to the youth, those incarcerated, in street services and in tent meetings.
In 1984, Bishop was ordained Elder and became the pastor of the Upper Room Outreach Center which helped to cultivate him as an effective shepherd and leader. He quickly became highly sought after by several prominent organizations to help them to establish and build churches. Bishop Ferrell fervently loves the Lord and strives to continually provide quality ministry. His crisp, precise Word from the Lord has helped to establish this powerful, prolific, and anointed man of God to the point where he has been given nicknames such as ‘Ferrellman’ and ‘Baby Jakes’.
Bishop Ferrell has traveled extensively in the United States, in Mexico and abroad and has dedicated his life to being the voice of hope and reason that invigorates people from all walks of life that are blessed to encounter his ministry. He has preached at major conferences, convocations, on radio broadcasts, and on cable TV, five days a week with over 80,000 viewers.
In 2006, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop by Bishop Leroy McKenzie. This dynamic man of God flows effectively in the five-fold ministry gifts to the glory of God. Bishop Ferrell is now the Founder and Senior Pastor of Breakout Ministries of Cleveland. Breakout Ministries exists to reach souls that are mentally and spiritually shackled and offer them hope to escape and live victorious lives through Christ.
Bishop Ferrell is a loving husband to his beautiful wife Julia Ferrell, a devoted Father of four children, a grandfather, and the oldest of five siblings. He is definitely God’s man for this hour that is seasoned in life and ministry. His words of wisdom sets the captives free. His favorite scripture resonates true in the life of this great man of God found in I. Corinthians 2:9 that, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him”. There are no boundaries to the ministry and the life of Bishop Michael Ferrell.
